About Natural Nedz
Natural Nedz is a unique, organic formula made exclusively for Nedz by Forest Farmacy who we have worked with for over 20 years. Using carefully selected ingredients the formula has been designed to offer healing and soothing benefits as well as reduce bed eating and offer a safe and non-toxic environment for your horse.
Many of the commonly used bedding treatments, such as Citronella and Eucalyptus can trigger negative reactions in horses, often using seemingly natural treatments which actually contain preservatives and chemicals which can do more harm than good.
Natural Nedz contains Manuka Oil – a form of tea tree oil organically grown in New Zealand, which has shown no known side effects, Aloe Vera – which helps regenerate cells and aid wound healing as well as offering many benefits to the skin and Cade Oil – which has antiseptic, vulnerary and anti-parasitic properties and has been historically used in the treatment of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and other skin conditions for humans as well as to treat scabies, worms and parasites on horses and other animals. The other super power we use is Silver. Silver is used widely in the veterinary world to help kill bacteria, viruses and fungi in wounds, while also encouraging healing. The naturally occurring substance is often used to prevent and treat all manner of skin irritations, including nicks, cuts, rainscald, mud fever, thrush and other external wounds that could or have already become infected. When used in the stable, silver has been seen to help kill harmful virus-spreading bacteria and other pathogens and the natural healing powers assist in supporting the equine’s health and immunity.
We steer away from the standard additives that most equine bedding products are treated with, remaining ahead of the curve and continuously evolving to produce the very best straw based bedding products.
