Young Horse to Grand Prix with Steph Croxford and Mr President

Stephanie Croxford and her charismatic grand prix dressage partner Mr President, in association with Sue Carson Saddles, are to host three evenings at which Steph will share her experiences of producing a young horse without classical dressage breeding or conformation to the highest levels of the sport.

Taking place at Northallerton EC (March 18th) Barleyfield (March 25th) and Moreton Morrell (April 2nd), from 7pm to 10pm, each evening promises a wealth of practical training and management advice. Steph, who juggles horses with a job, husband and two young children, will ride her 6-year-old horse Mr Hyde, of similar breeding to Mr P. With support from List 2a dressage judge Sue Carson, Steph will talk about and demonstrate her training methods, leaving everyone with exercises to take home and help progress the training of their own horses.

The evenings will be very interactive and everyone with a ticket to see this charismatic team is encouraged to ask their questions beforehand by completing this simple online form on the Sue Carson Saddles website along with their name and the venue they are attending. There will be prizes for questions selected for discussion at each venue and there will also be lots of opportunities to ask questions during the evening.

In addition, there is a fabulous prize opportunity to actually take part in these evenings, as one of the guinea pig riders at each will be selected from applicants to a free-to-enter online competition. It could be you!

If you and your horse would like to benefit from a one-to-one session with Steph, meet Mr P and take home some lovely prizes, all you need to do is visit the Sue Carson Saddles website at and complete the simple online form saying what you would like to work on and what your competitive goals are this season. Shortlisted riders will be contacted for more information.

The finale to each evening will be Steph’s lovely Grand Prix to Music with Mr President, which will show just how exciting and rewarding it is to produce a horse to the highest levels of the sport of dressage. To use Steph’s own words, “You need to believe you can do it.”
