Steph and Mr Hyde do their first Grand Prix

It has been an exciting month for Nedz sponsored rider Steph Croxford, as she does her first Grand Prix with Mr Hyde...

"Mr Hyde went to Addington and reallly surprised me as to how well he handled it! We did the PSG first as a warm up and I was glad that I did as there were huge blog heaters above each of the judges which I expected him to not go anywhere near! Surprisngly he didn't even notice them but we did have a spook as we did our extended canter to flying change so it was worth doing that one first. He still came around 13th out of a field of about 48 so I was pleased. Then when we were warming up for the Inter 2 they were doing the prize giving for the PSG so I lost his concentration a bit, but luckily just before we went in to do our test I got him back! He tried his absolute heart out in the test - I couldn't have asked for more - and we scored a very respectable mark to come 4th out of a strong field."

"Next up was Vale View to do some PYO tests and I did the BD Inter 2 and had a run through the Grand Prix. In the Inter 2 he scored 71% which was a bit of a shock and then 66% in his first ever Grand Prix, and that was with quite a few mistakes and getting his legs in a tangle in the changes! At one point I had no idea what leg I was on! Next stop is another PYO test at Fieldhouse and then we will be full steam ahead for Myerscough Premier League! In other news Mr P is now being ridden by my friend Julie and we are thinking about downgrading him so he can go out and do some parties! We have bought Clooney outright so he will be brought on slowly and I don't think the world is quite ready for George yet!"
