Mary King has a busy end to 2014!

As we caught up with Nedz sponsored rider Mary King she had just landed from a whistle stop tour of America! Find out what she has been up to by reading her latest blog...

"I am on my way back from Heathrow at the moment having spent 6 solid days teaching out in America. I started off in lovely hot California for two days, before flying to bitterly cold Virgina and finally finishing off with two days in Kentucky. In between was spent going out for dinner in the evening so it is fair to say that I have done a lot of talking recently!"

"Before I went to America I spent some time at Your Horse Live on the Nedz stand doing signings with my new book and talking to lots of people. It was a great event. Straight after Your Horse Live I went to Scotland to teach and do a lecture demo at Gleneagles and then I had one day before going to the US. In between all this we picked up a new horse who I hope will be one for the future. We have a couple of owners who have been looking for a very special horse and I have had my eye on this one since last year! At the time the girl didn't want to sell but I asked if I could have first refusal if she changed her mind and she was true to her word and called me before talking to anyone else."

"Before I went away I backed my three year old called Rosie who is out of Kings Temptress and by Grafenstolz - she was very easy to break and was happy to have me on her back. She has now gone back out. I have now got to crack on with the three 4 year olds who are all ready to go and will aim to start their eventing career as five year olds next season. In addition Kings Temptress is looking great and all going well will be aiming for Badminton next spring, along with Kings Choice who will do her first 2 star and King Dan who will do his first 1 star."

"Emily is having a great time with Ben Maher and is taking Charlemagne to some shows with Ben soon. I am still looking for a replacement for our groom Lauren. We need a fun and hard working person to take her place from January to October next year."

"I am looking forward to Christmas, although how many people I will be cooking for I have no idea! After Christmas we will have a few days skiing and then back ready to start the horses off for the 2015 season in January! Thanks to everyone for their support over 2014!"
