Lucy Straker - Hello and Goodbye

The last month has been like a whirlwind here at Lucy Straker Dressage!!! Firstly Alfie did his first Premier League Inter 2 at Wellington and let's just say he was a little wild! Not only did we enter the beautiful new arena there bronking and squealing with excitement he then produced some wonderful trot work and piaffe and passage but then the excitement took over again when we went into canter with a lot more squealing!!
We didn't disgrace ourselves and actually with a lot of mistakes the international judge had us on 64% so if we can iron the over enthusiasm out he's going to be mega! We head to Hartpury premier League this week to try again so I shall update you on my next blog!
Over the last month or so I have made the massive decision to find my big bird Freda a new home as she is really finding PSG her limit so on a journey to Switzerland she arrived last week to begin a new life down there and I know her new rider will have as much joy riding her as I have over the last couple of years since my mentor, trainer and great friend is taking great care of her and at the same time she happened to have a potential new horse for me with Grand Prix potential. After a little trip to Switzerland 2 weeks ago and to cut a very long story short I'd like to introduce my new ginger boy Hawker Hurricane or Hawks to his friends
I can't wait to start competing him and sharing our progress with you!
He is already loving his Nedz bedding  and it always looks so clean and fresh! Thank you to Nedz for their continued support! Can't wait to update you all in our next blog!
