Lucy Straker - A Sad Goodbye

Well life has certainly been a little strange over the last couple of months! I hope everyone is safe and well. I’ve been lucky enough to have the yard still busy as usual, having 9 in and ticking over has kept us busy! Weather has helped a lot too.

Unfortunately just before lock down I had to say goodbye to my beautiful black beast Alfie (Farramir) who I have had for 9 years and we went from elementary all the way to Grand Prix in that time with so many amazing memories and achievements so it’s been a very hard loss to come to terms with and I miss him everyday.

Also during this time I acquired a new ride thanks to one of my lovely liveries Sue called Picci. She is a little pocket rocket and 5 years old by Govenor (Totilas) She has been out of work to mature so we have been bringing her fitness up and so far she is just so sweet and super talented!! Can’t wait to see what the future holds for us as we get to know each other!!

My two boys are firing on all cylinders! Noodle has cleverly learnt his flying changes during lockdown which has been so nice to have that time to teach him and Hawks has been solidifying his Grand Prix work so when competitions start again we can hit the ground running!! Hopefully things will start to get back to normal as the weeks go on!! I shall keep you all posted!

Stay safe and stay well
