Geoff is back on home turf for June

After a hectic few months we manage to pin down Geoff Billington to find out how his horses have been going!

"In April we went to Austria for three weeks, it was a fantastic show called Magner Rosina only in its second year but on a massive racecourse complex with unbelievable facilities. We took Rosinus, Upper Cut, Balloon and a 7 year old called Sentomento. Sentomento had only been jumping up to Newcomers when we took him and he jumped in the 7 year old classes and was really good. He is a monster at 17.2hh but is showing real promise for the future!"

"Rosinus and Upper Cut both jumped consistently in Austria and were both in the placings on several occasions, Upper Cut did two Grand Prix classes and had one time fault in the first one and then had a clear and 4 faults in the second one. Balloon was also really good in the big classes and won a class against the clock beating the big riders including Jessica Kurten.

"When we got back from Austria we went to Balmoral in Northern Ireland where Upper Cut came 2nd in the big class on the first day and Balloon came 8th and 2nd on the second day. This weekend we have Bolesworth and we are taking 9 between us! Then we will be staying in the UK for June and I am currently deciding whether to go to the Royal Highland show or Hickstead - I am taking Upper Cut and Balloon out for some Derby practices over the next few weeks to see how they take to it and that will make my mind up! Then we will undoubtedly go to Southview International at the end of the month as that is always a good show."
